Hi, I'm artist Jen Beaudet Zondervan, from Southern California, USA. I started this blog in 2009 as a way to share my art journey and meet other creative souls. It became my therapy. I know the process of getting your daughter settled will be bittersweet, but it happens to all of us moms eventually.
I am SO embarrassed you saw my post about our paintings!!! That was mine and my daughters very first painting EVER. It was a lot of fun though! My mom used to paint, and it reminded her how much she misses it. We have decided to have a family paint-out. We are all bringing canvases and paint and easels, and all 9 of us are going to paint together... including my 3 yr. old granddaughter. Can't wait!

You're right, it'll be bittersweet. I'm so excited for her but at the same time it's going to be so hard to let her go. We're so close.
