Lazy Lavender Afternoon...

available here

This painting is an 8x8 oil, on gallery wrapped canvas with painted sides, so it's ready to display! I tried to warm up the colors in this one so I used orange as a mother color.
I also used a palette knife for most of it and an angled flat no. 6 brush here and there.
I'm trying to discipline myself to paint at least one a day. These smaller canvases are
perfect for that but I still need to work on larger ones too.
So...we'll see if I can keep it up. I'm starting a commissioned piece right now
with rich beautiful colors just in time for fall. After that trees:)

Always learning...

As a self representing artist I where many hats and am always learning new things! You may already know how, but I just learned how to make a photo collage from Leslie Saeta's 30 Marketing Ideas in 30 Days using ipiccy! It's never boring around here. I think I could work from morning til night and never run out of things do to! But that wouldn't be too much fun...I sometimes have to turn of all the machines, lay down the brushes, and just relax...[insert photo of me on a beach on Kauai]

Kauai!

in private collection

Kauai is one of my favorite islands in Hawaii. I really love them all but I've been to Kauai three times now and never get tired of it. It's everything I think of when I think of paradise.
I took this photo a few years back and just found it when looking for another. It's a beach called Salt Pond Beach Park. I remember we almost had the whole beach to ourselves.
It was magical, just like every day is in Kauai.

Pink Roses with Cherries...

on Etsy here
There's just something about the color pink and when you add green it's even more beautiful. I haven't done one of these in a while and thought it was time for a little frilly pink! This one has deep sides that are gallery wrapped so no need for a frame here! I've had a busy week with sales, sales, sales! I've sold four paintings in the last two weeks! Things are going well. I will be painting another large pier painting and some more umbrellas. Thanks so much for all your support! I appreciate each and every one of you!

New Figure Painting...

Painting by Jen Beaudet Zondervan born 1970 California
This is my latest impressionist oil painting. For now it;s going to be titled something like Girl Sitting. Any suggestions are welcome! I'll have it listed on Etsy later this afternoon but was hoping to get a little feedback before I did. Your comments are always appreciated!

Fun in the Summer Sun...

sold

This is a small painting of my home, Redondo Beach. I spent so many days on that pier and it's still a place I visit any time I'm in town. This piece brings back the feelings of summer fun! I think I need to do some larger ones in this series. Have a great week!

Peonies!

available on etsy

My mom brought me these beautiful peonies from Trader Joe's. It was so sweet of her. I plan on doing a really large one but I think I need to keep it for my new home! I hope everyone has a
wonderful week!

Roses Shells and Sun...

The perfect combo. I love all these things and wish this really was my view.  Unfortunately it's far from it. I have a beautiful view from my home but it's been snowing and raining for about a week. The sun finally came out so I could paint this one with the beautiful light from the sun. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Roses, lemons, and peonies

These are my latest creations. They are both 6x6 inch with deep sides that are
painted all the way around.

I like how they stand on their own...no framing needed:)
